SiNergi Research Team of PPNP and CERI Studies Agroforestry-Based Coffee Development at Beranda Coffee & Roastery

The SiNergi Research Team of PPNP and CERI visited Beranda Coffee & Roastery in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, to study Arabica coffee cultivation practices based on agroforestry. The plantation, managed by Akmal Yusmar since 2023, applies a mixed-cropping system with durian, cinnamon, and pine trees at an altitude of 1,084–1,200 masl. With the spirit of reviving the coffee heritage of Bukik Sonsang from the colonial era, this business serves as an example of specialty coffee development that maintains a balance between productivity and environmental sustainability.
